This is a project that actually began back in 1994. For over twenty years, with Preferred Business being a huge supporter for much of that time, Sound Shore Medical Center (now Montefiore-New Rochelle) has been serving the community of pediatric clinic patients in a variety of ways. In the past they have offered food, coats, toys, a holiday party, internship opportunities and books. Families sign up to receive a free coat for their child–they must be Montefiore Pediatric Clinic patients. Coats are purchased with donated funds at a discounted rate from local vendors. On November 21st coats will be distributed to those who signed up back in September.
